Amazon Direct Validation: toy test reports older than one year

Amazon's DPV guidebook says North American stores require toy test reports from within one year when an existing report is verified. What that means for your TRF.

The guidebook's FAQ on report validity says that when an existing report is verified, North American stores require a test report from within one year. A report older than one year must be retested to get a valid report before verification. Other stores may also have a one-year requirement for some categories. Check the relevant help page or ask your TIC.

If testing or verification isn't started or completed, or the result shows the product doesn't meet Amazon's policy, the listing may be removed.

First actions

  1. Check the report's issue date before you submit the TRF.
  2. Plan a retest if the report is older than one year.
  3. Make sure the report identifies the same product and model as the listing.
