CPC certifier block: importer name, full mailing address and phone

CPSC element 3 and Walmart's Children's Products policy both require the certifying importer or domestic manufacturer to show name, full mailing address and telephone number.

CPSC element 3 is identification of the domestic manufacturer or importer certifying compliance: name, full mailing address, and telephone number of the firm.

Walmart's Children's Products policy repeats the same three fields for the importer or domestic manufacturer on the CPC, and requires the CPC to be in English and based on a CPSC-accepted lab.

A factory address with no US importer phone, a PO-box-only line where a full mailing address is expected, or a certifier name that is not your importing company are common reasons marketplaces reject the package.

First actions

  1. Put your importing (or US manufacturing) company name in the certifier field.
  2. Use a full mailing address and a reachable phone number.
  3. Keep the records-contact block (element 4) filled separately, with email.
  4. Do not leave the factory as the only named firm on an import CPC.
