GPSR Article 19 requires online offers to show the manufacturer's details and, for non-EU manufacturers, the EU responsible person too. What must be shown, and Amazon's format rules.
Under GPSR Article 19, an online offer must clearly show: (a) the manufacturer's name, registered trade name or trade mark, plus postal and electronic address; (b) where the manufacturer is not established in the EU, the responsible person's name, postal and electronic address; (c) information identifying the product, including a picture, its type and any other identifier; and (d) warnings or safety information in a language consumers easily understand. The Commission's published Q&A answers that (a) and (b) are cumulative: a non-EU manufacturer's offer shows both.
Amazon's GPSR guidebook adds format checks for invalid entries: addresses in an official EU language; phone numbers starting with + or 00 (not both), 7–15 digits, no spaces; no leading or trailing spaces in email addresses. Each EU store must be submitted separately.
