TikTok Shop toy tracking label photos: what the photos must show

TikTok Shop US may ask toy sellers for product photos with a legible tracking label. What the label must include, and the API change that made certifications mandatory.

TikTok's toys page says photos must show all sides of the product, make all packaging information visible (descriptions, warnings and other details), and include a clear, legible image of the tracking label. The label must be securely attached to both the product and its packaging. It must include the manufacturer, importer or private labeler's name; the location and date of production; and detailed manufacturing information such as a batch or run number.

TikTok Shop's Partner Center announced that from 2025-02-21, test reports and tracking-info labelling became mandatory certifications in the Toys & Hobbies category for US local sellers via the Product API.

First actions

  1. Check the label is on both the product and the packaging.
  2. Check the name, place and date of production, and the batch/run number are legible.
  3. Make sure the label matches the CPC (manufacturer and date of manufacture).
