GOV.UK says toys placed in Great Britain carry UKCA or CE marking with a matching DoC. What a DoC may include, and why model identifiers must match your listing.
GOV.UK's toys guidance says manufacturers draw up a declaration of conformity (a UK DoC if UKCA marked, an EU DoC if CE marked) and affix the relevant marking. GOV.UK's general UKCA/CE guidance lists what a DoC may include: the manufacturer's (or authorised representative's) name and full address; the product's serial number, model or type identification; a statement that the manufacturer takes full responsibility; the approved body, if any; the relevant legislation; the referenced designated or harmonised standards with their dates; the name and signature of the authorised signatory; and the date of issue.
The model or type identification on the DoC is what reviewers compare with your listing. Keep it identical.
