Walmart unpublished my children's product: CPC and Baby Products policy checklist

Walmart may automatically unpublish children's products that don't meet its Children's Products policy and related Baby Products policy. A checklist to get the item back.

Walmart's policy overview states that products subject to the Children's Products policy must also follow other prohibited-product policies, including the policy on Baby Products, "or Walmart will automatically unpublish your item". Its FAQ also covers items that were unpublished but don't appear in the Item compliance hub, so check there first if you can't find the item.

Walmart also says that, upon request, certificates must be available to the CPSC, Customs, and to distributors and retailers, and that sellers must respond to agency and Walmart outreach in a timely manner.

First actions

  1. Find the item in Health and Compliance → Item compliance (read the FAQ if it's missing).
  2. Check whether the Baby Products policy also applies to the item.
  3. Prepare a CPC and matching test report (English, CPSC-accepted lab).
  4. Upload, then watch for a 'Needs Action' status and its reason.
