Walmart test report requirements: English, CPSC-accepted lab, all applicable rules

Walmart's Children's Products policy sets three conditions for the third-party test report. How to check your report against each before uploading.

Walmart's policy says third-party test reports must be written in English, based on test results from a third-party CPSC-accepted laboratory, and show that the product complies with all applicable state and federal children's product laws and rules. The report must correspond to the CPC for the same item.

First actions

  1. Confirm the report is in English, or get an English version from the lab.
  2. Look up the lab ID on CPSC's accepted-lab search.
  3. Check every rule cited on the CPC has a passing result in the report.
  4. Make sure the report identifies the same product as the CPC and the item.
