Walmart FAQ: minor SKU differences between CPC and backend

Walmart's Children's Products FAQ explicitly asks whether minor SKU differences between the CPC and the backend (for example packaging) affect review. Read the official answer before re-uploading.

Walmart's Children's Products policy page lists this FAQ question: "There are minor differences between the SKU on the CPC certificate and the SKU in the backend (e.g., differences in packaging). Will this affect the review?"

This page does not restate Walmart's answer (answers sit in the live FAQ on that page). Open the FAQ and follow Walmart's wording for your case.

Separately, CPSC still requires the CPC's product identification to match the product the certificate covers and no others. If the difference is more than packaging coding—different model, different product—align the CPC, report and item before upload.

First actions

  1. Open Walmart's Children's Products FAQ and read the SKU-difference answer.
  2. If the products are actually different, fix identifiers on the CPC and report.
  3. If only packaging codes differ, follow Walmart's FAQ instruction for that case.
  4. Re-upload through Item compliance after the fix.
