TRF submitted but the TIC provider isn't responding: what to do

Amazon's DV guide says providers should first reply within about 2 business days. How to follow up, when to switch providers, and how to keep the deadline in view.

The problem

Sellers report waiting a week or more after creating a Test Request Form with no reply from the provider. Amazon's DV guidebook says TIC providers should send a first reply within 2 business days. In practice, response times depend on the provider's workload. Capacity is tight around deadline waves and Chinese New Year.

The deadline on the Food and Product Safety Issues page is the date for getting your materials to a provider. It is not the date testing must finish. So a silent provider can cost you the ASIN.

How to fix it

  1. Check that your Seller Central primary email is correct. Providers contact you there.
  2. Email the provider using the contact details on the Account Health provider list. Say you are an Amazon seller with a TRF, give the TRF ID, and send complete information in the first email.
  3. If there's still no reply after a few business days, ask other approved providers for quotes. You can cancel the current provider and choose another one.
  4. Keep dated records of every message in case you need to escalate through Account Health.
  5. While you wait, get your documents ready (CPC, full report, labels, photos) so verification goes through on the first pass.
