CPC rejected because the documents don't match the listing: how to line them up

Amazon rejected your CPC or test report because it doesn't match the detail page. The six fields to compare and how to fix each one without retesting where you can avoid it.

The problem

First: run the free document-vs-listing check

Paste your listing details and the fields from your CPC. The check flags mismatched model/ASIN, product name, manufacturer, lab, CFR citations and dates, plus supplier-certificate red flags. Free, no signup.

Run the free check

Reviewers compare your certificate and report with the product detail page and the images. Sellers report that the model number, manufacturer and manufacturer address on the certificate have to match what the product label shows. A product name or model that differs from the listing is enough to fail the package, even with a passing report.

How to fix it

  1. Model / ASIN: use one identifier printed on the product and make the listing, CPC and report all use it exactly.
  2. Product name: the CPC description must identify the same specific item as the listing title, not a generic supplier name.
  3. Manufacturer and address: must match the label and packaging photos. If the label names a different company, explain or align it.
  4. Test lab: the lab on the CPC must be the lab that issued the report, with a CPSC lab ID that's accepted for every rule cited.
  5. CFR citations: cite only rules that the report shows were tested, using current editions.
  6. Dates: testing before certification, no future dates, and manufacture date and place filled in.
  7. Ask the lab to amend identifiers on the report if the product is the same item. Retest if the product or material actually changed.
