Amazon flags a product identifier mismatch when the CPC, test report and listing name the product differently. How to line them up before resubmitting.
Sellers report rejections citing a "product identifier mismatch" or a model number that doesn't match the detail page. This happens when the certificate and the lab report describe the product differently from the listing: a factory model code on the report, a brand name on the listing, a different SKU on the CPC, or a product family name instead of the specific item.
Reviewers compare documents to each other and to the ASIN. If they cannot tell the documents describe the listed item, the package fails, even if the testing itself passed.
Upload your CPC or GCC and the test report. The free pre-check compares identifiers, cited rules, lab, dates and certifier across the documents and returns a red/amber/green list of what to fix.
Run the free pre-checkThis is general information and a document consistency check only. It is not certification, testing, or legal advice, and it cannot guarantee acceptance by Amazon, CPSC or CBP.
