Amazon rejected your Children's Product Certificate (CPC): common reasons and fixes

Why Amazon rejects a CPC and test report, and how to fix the package before you resubmit: identifiers, lab scope, missing rules, certifier and file problems.

The problem

Amazon's compliance messages often say the documents were reviewed and "do not meet requirements" without saying which line failed. Sellers on Seller Forums and r/FulfillmentByAmazon describe resubmitting the same CPC many times with generic, templated rejections. In practice, most rejections come from a small set of document problems:

How to fix it

  1. Open the request in Seller Central (Performance → Account Health) and note the ASIN, the policy name and the exact document Amazon asked for.
  2. Put the CPC, the test report and the listing side by side. Check brand, product name, model/SKU, age grade and photos character for character.
  3. Confirm the certifier on the CPC is your company as importer (or the U.S. manufacturer), with a full U.S. or records contact.
  4. Check every rule cited on the CPC is covered by a passing result in the report, and every applicable rule is cited.
  5. Look up the lab on the CPSC accepted-lab search and confirm each cited rule is in scope for that lab ID.
  6. Ask the lab to reissue the report if only identifiers are wrong; retest if a rule is missing, the edition is outdated, or the sample was not your product.
  7. Resubmit one complete, unlocked PDF package through the same request. For toys, follow Amazon's Direct Validation instructions if the request asks for them.

Check your documents before you resubmit

Upload your CPC or GCC and the test report. The free pre-check compares identifiers, cited rules, lab, dates and certifier across the documents and returns a red/amber/green list of what to fix.
